Sajilo Billing ("we", "us") provides point-of-sale software for retail shops in Nepal, available as a web dashboard, an offline desktop app, and a mobile app. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Account & business information — when you contact us to set up an account, we collect your business name, contact person, email, phone number, and shop address.

Transaction data — products, orders, receipts, and stock levels you record while using the POS are stored under your tenant account so you can run your shop and view reports.

Desktop app data— the offline desktop app stores its working data (products, orders, PIN-based logins) locally on the device it's installed on. That data is not transmitted to our servers except where a device is explicitly connected to sync with your account.

2. Payment Information

Payments are processed by our third-party payment gateways — Khalti, eSewa, and Fonepay — or taken as cash directly at your counter. We never see or store your customers' card, wallet, or banking credentials; we only receive a transaction status and reference ID from the gateway to confirm a sale.

To operate and provide the POS service you've subscribed to
To bill your subscription and process renewals
To respond to support requests and service communications
To maintain the security and reliability of the platform

4. Data Storage & Security

Web dashboard data is hosted on secured cloud database infrastructure. Passwords are hashed and PIN-based logins are encrypted before storage. We restrict access to your data to the systems and staff that need it to operate the service.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the payment gateways needed to process a transaction, and with infrastructure providers (such as our cloud database host) strictly to operate the service on our behalf.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep records for accounting or legal purposes.

7. Your Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing us at the address below.

8. Cookies

The web dashboard uses only essential cookies needed to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
